I am Rohit Pillai, a Yoga Sadhak & teacher of yoga shastra. I have completed my graduation in Yogashastra from Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University in the year 2013. But that was simply the beginning of my journey. Guruji BKS Iyengar used to say that just like Raja Harishchandra, just by adhering to the principle of Satya (Truth) was able to reach the apotheosis of Self Realization, so too the Sadhak by committing themselves whole heartedly to just any one limb of yoga can himself/herself unlock their own full potential. In the spirit of this statement, Rohit Pillai Yoga specializes in Asana & Pranayama limb of yoga and works on the science of effectively integrating asanas and pranayamas with each other, making one's practice all the more powerful and intense. This skillful Integration of asanas and pranayamas is followed by application of Bandhas & mudras. In this unique synthesis is found the complete expression of Hatha Yoga & the blossoming of Raja Yoga.

This approach to Yoga is truly an integral & integrated approach to Yoga where the body, breath & mind are all brought into harmony with each other, and the rigor of the sadhana fixes the mind on the present moment, brings about skillfulness& grace in one's action, builds precision & concentration & heightens one's sensitivity. Such an integrated practice helps develop supreme physical & mental strength, enhances the strength of the nervous system, develops extreme strength and mobility. The alignment of the body brings about an alignment of the mind. The fullness of breath brings one closer to the fullness of life.

With pranayama, we harness the mystical energy of the Universe, Prana. With Asanas, we become as limitless as the universe itself. With bandhas & mudras we learn to manipulate & redirect this energy throughout our system.

The emphasis of this particular system of Yoga is not on meditation, but on meditativeness.
